Big Bang Education’s Natural & Processed Materials program has been designed to help Year 4 teachers achieve the Australian Curriculum science understanding in Chemical Sciences:
Natural and processed materials have a range of physical properties that can influence their use (ACSSU074)
Year 4 students will first experience an exciting science show which introduces them to different properties of materials, such as elasticity, absorbency, and rigidity, and how these properties affect the use of the material.
During the hands-on workshop that follows, students will conduct a series of engineering challenges using a variety of different materials to create structures that serve different purposes.
